Petopentia Natalensis, known as the propeller vine, is a fast growing winter dormant climbing plant from Southern Africa, characterized by a large segmented caudex (underground stem) and lanceolate leaves with a nice purple underside. It requires well-draining soil, bright, indirect light to partial sun, and careful watering to avoid root rot. The plant grows vigorously, forming attractive cascades or twisting around supports, but it is sensitive to prolonged cold and dampness

Light: Prefers full sun, requiring at least six hours of direct sunlight per day when grown outdoors. If indoors place in the sunniest location possible, like a west- or south-facing window.

Water: Once established, they are drought-tolerant and can often survive on natural rainfall. Young trees will require more frequent watering to establish a strong root system.

Fertilizer:  Does not have high fertilizer requirements. Feed with a small amount of balanced fertilizer once a year in the spring.

Toxicity: Generally non-toxic
