Gerrardanthus macrorhizus, also known as the "Bigfoot," is a perennial climber with a larger, pumpkin like caudex and smooth, ivy-shaped leaves. Native to Southern Africa, it requires a well-draining cactus or perlite mix and should be watered sparingly, with water withheld during its dormant period in winter. The plant prefers bright, indirect light, thriving in temperatures between 65-85°F

Light: Prefers full sun, requiring at least six hours of direct sunlight per day when grown outdoors. If indoors place in the sunniest location possible, like a west- or south-facing window.

Water: Once established, they are drought-tolerant and can often survive on natural rainfall. Young trees will require more frequent watering to establish a strong root system.

Fertilizer:  Does not have high fertilizer requirements. Feed with a small amount of balanced fertilizer once a year in the spring.

Toxicity: Generally non-toxic
